About the Principal

Prof. Vinod Thombre Patil

  • Mr. Vinod Thombre Patil is working as Principal in Leela Education Society’s G.V. Acharya Polytechnic.
  • Mr. Vinod Thombre Patil obtained his Master’s degree in Energy Technology (with Hons. – Silver Medal) from Department of Technology, Kolhapur University, Maharashtra. He is graduated with B.E. (Mechanical) from Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
  • He has also worked as Workshop Superintendent, Training & Placement officer, Head of Mechanical engineering department and Vice Principal.
  • He works as Social Activist for helping students studying Engineering Degree and Diploma through a Facebook page, “Helping Desk – Technical Education”, which is a dedication for him in the loving memory of his Father, Late Mr. S.T. Thombre Patil, Advocate, Jalna.
  • He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching different subjects of Mechanical, Automobile, Production and Electrical engineering. During this vast teaching duration, he has developed several teaching aids and learning materials for students and has guided several credential projects.

Contribution as an Author

    • Contribution to Technical Education as Author : Mr. Vinod Thombre Patil had written his first textbook “Machine Design” for students of final year diploma in Mechanical engineering in 2001, when he was just 25 years old and renowned as Youngest Author for best-selling textbook. Now he is an author for best-selling 31 textbooks written for diploma and degree engineering students on important subjects of Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Electrical, Automobile and Production engineering disciplines.
